Color & Gray Scales

What is a Grayscale?

A grayscale is a range of gray shades. The scale can go from the lightest shade of white, which is the total reflection of light, to the darkest shade of black, which absorbs light and therefore causes an absence of reflectance. Our eye can see countless shades of gray. We can make your scale with as many of these values to make your product work for you.

Grayscales In Digital Imaging

Grayscales are used often in digital imaging. One example of this is our Taz Tally Grayscale. Taz Tally is a photographer, geologist, digital imaging expert, author and inventor. Over the last 20 years, many students have enjoyed his seminars on digital imaging, scanning and pre-press fundamentals.
